Nixon was a better man than both Clinton & Gore

In 1960 Richard M Nixon conceded what was then the closest election in history that even had real cases of voter fraud in Illinois and other places. Richard Nixon cared enough about his country and about democracy to not damage them by dragging the country through a protracted court battle...

Al Gore, on the other hand, was so selfish that he has PERMANENTLY DAMAGED American Democracy because he wanted to hold the power of the Presidency so badly.

Richard M Nixon resigned the Presidency in 1974 rather than drag his country through impeachment hearings. Bill Clinton, on the other hand, was so power hungry that he not only dragged us through his impeachment, but even through a Senate trial! What a self-centered jerk!

So, Richard M. Nixon, the man everyone loves to hate, obviously loved his country and democracy more than both Clinton & Gore. He sacrificed his own career TWICE when it was in the interests of his country. In my books that makes him a much better man than either Clinton or Gore.

But at least all Clinton did was increase the acrimony of politics; Gore has undermined some of the very premises that our democracy is based on. Now every single election is ending up challenged in the courts and people's confidence in the results and permanence of election results has been seriously weakened. That's why I place Al Gore on a level with two bit dictators around the world who are only interested in their own power.

But, that's just one man's opinion.
